Beijing, June 22, 2025 — At the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, the first TCM Psychology Seed Teacher Training Program hosted by the Chinese Medical Education Association has taken on an international perspective: Professor Zhou Wei from Medacom College in the United States, as a distinguished expert, delivered cutting-edge courses for psychological backbone talents selected from over 70 renowned TCM hospitals across the country, sharing the latest research breakthroughs in the integration of artificial intelligence technology with TCM formulas and external treatment methods.
This teacher training program is a high-specification project jointly created by the Chinese Medical Education Association and the Institute of Basic Medical Sciences of the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, aiming to implement the national policy requirements of strengthening the construction of mental health and social psychological service systems.
Professor Zhou Wei pointed out that TCM has gained widespread recognition and application in the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asian countries. Acupuncture and other TCM external treatment technologies have been included in the scope of medical insurance in multiple states in the United States. Medacom College, as an important force in TCM education and practice in the United States, is actively promoting cooperation with top Chinese institutions.
The three-day seed teacher training systematically imparted core technologies such as form-spirit-will therapy, five-state personality identification, and empty-moving therapy. Professor Zhou Wei's integration results of TCM psychological internal formulas, external treatment technologies, and AI sparked a response.
Participants, including overseas students from Thailand and Singapore, believe the course represents the domestic top level and strengthens their determination to become "dual-qualified talents" (TCM practicing physicians + psychotherapists). The first batch of over 70 seed teachers will become the core force in promoting TCM psychological services and building a new "TCM psychological defense" ecosystem.
Medacom College is now opening its doors to scholars and students interested in the integration and innovation of TCM psychology from home and abroad, aiming to jointly promote the construction of this discipline and contribute to exploring more precise solutions for human physical and mental health.
